Resurrecting the DH&C Forum Here's what I've been running to good results. Mana base seems messed up. Any thoughts, opinions or ideas? Shoot!
creatures
1 Brazen Borrower
1 Glasspool Mimic
4 Quirion Dryad
4 Faerie Vandal
4 Sprite Dragon
Spells
4 Shock
4 Opt
4 Into the Roil
1 Fateful End
4 Whirlwind Denial
3 Bubble Snare
4 Frantic Inventory
planeswalkers
2 The Royal Scions
land
1 Temple of Mystery
1 Raugrin Triome
2 Thornwood Falls
1 Ketria Triome
1 Temple of Epiphany
4 Fabled Passage
2 Forest
2 Mountain
3 Island
1 Riverglide Pathway
1 Rugged Highlands
1 Cragcrown Pathway
The 20 lands hasn't seemed to be an issue with such a low curve and draw. It's more the mix of lands. Losing Shocklands hurt, usually keeping me a turn getting on board.
Glasspool Mimic can probably go. It's great getting 5 copies of a win-con but hasn't really been drawn enough to make a difference.
I love that Into the Roil is back. [Can] trigger all 3 win cons.
Fateful End over better 3cmc removal simply cause it can hit a player.
Bubble Snare has been awesome locking down creatures and triggering 2 win-cons.
Whirlwind Denial feels like a pet card but in a 3-color mana base, it fits easily and destroys all the mutate triggers.
The Royal Scions... I had run the Phasing Terefi, but it's cantrip is great for filtering. It's +2 First Strike Trample has been amazing.
So playing it I always fetch for blue if I have at least 1 blue n the board. If I have RU, i fetch G etc... Unless I don't have a Dryad in hand. Being only 4 G cards, I can win with UR.
All the bounce is great with the amount of mono-W I see. They lock down my Dryad, I do stuff for 4 turns, bounce the [pacifism] and kill them.
Anyways, this was always a cool deck and way back when I ran it along with ProsBloom, Wake, Rifter and Slide in Extended days.
Any thoughts just to talk decks?
